Why We Go
We don’t go on missions trips to see the world.
We go to share the gospel, serve people, and be part of what God is doing.
Missions isn’t about self-improvement or experience—it’s about the glory of God and the message of Jesus. We don’t go empty, hoping to be filled. We prepare our hearts, grow in our faith, and go as vessels ready to be poured out.
Every team is built on unity, humility, and purpose. We don’t go alone—we go together, as one body, carrying one message: the good news of Jesus Christ.
We partner long-term, not just for a moment. Through relationships, training, and ongoing support, we’re committed to seeing lives changed, communities strengthened, and the gospel take root.
This isn’t just something we do.
It’s part of who we are.
Our Missions Story
Missions has been part of Parkside Church from the very beginning. Since 1948, we’ve been committed to sharing the gospel and supporting Kingdom work beyond our walls. In recent years, that commitment has taken on renewed focus through intentional partnerships and global outreach.
1948 — A Foundation of Mission
From the very beginning, Parkside Church has been committed to supporting missions—locally and globally—as part of our calling to share the gospel.
2017 — A Renewed Focus in Uganda
We stepped into a more intentional partnership with ministry work in Uganda through World Outreach Ministry Foundation (WOMF), supporting schools and helping keep Christ-centered education alive in communities where it was at risk of closing.
2017 — First Steps into Tanzania
That same year, we connected with a growing church in Geda, Tanzania. At the time, the church met under a tent, with limited resources and infrastructure.
Ongoing — Faithful Growth Over Time
Through consistent partnership and support, that ministry has grown significantly. What started as a small gathering is now a thriving church with a school, a farm, and a well that serves the surrounding community.
2024 — Land for the Future
Through the generosity of our church, funds were raised to purchase land in Tanzania for future ministry. That land is now owned and stewarded by WOMF for long-term Kingdom impact.
Praying over the land in Tanzania before it was purchased—believing God for what would come next.
Now — Building the Mission House
That same land is now the site of our next project: building a mission house that will support teams, outreach efforts, and long-term ministry in Tanzania.
The land in Tanzania where we are preparing to build the mission house.
Looking Ahead — Sending Teams
We are preparing future teams to go, serve, and continue building on what God has already started—deepening relationships and expanding the impact for years to come.
