Screened & Trusted Volunteers
Every Parkside Kids volunteer is carefully screened and approved before serving in a classroom. We are committed to creating a team of adults you can trust.
Secure Check-In & Check-Out
These procedures ensure that every child leaves safely with the right guardian. Every child is securely checked in before entering a classroom.
Parents receive a unique security tag at check-in
Children are only released to an adult with the matching tag
Lost tags are verified by leadership before a child is released
Supervision & Classroom Standards
We maintain clear supervision standards in every classroom to ensure a safe and accountable environment.
✔ No adult is ever alone with young children
✔ Classrooms are monitored by approved volunteers only
✔ Leadership is readily available during every service
✔ Parents are welcome to briefly check in on their child at any time

Health & Wellness Guidelines
To help keep all children healthy, we follow clear wellness guidelines in every classroom.
✔ Children who are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other contagious symptoms should stay home
✔ Volunteers encourage regular handwashing
✔ Classrooms are kept clean and monitored for hygiene
If a child becomes unwell during service, a parent will be contacted promptly.
Bathroom & Care Procedures
We follow clear boundaries and procedures when it comes to restroom and diaper needs.
✔ Volunteers do not assist children with bathroom use
✔ Parents are contacted if a child needs restroom or diaper assistance
✔ Younger children are supervised appropriately outside restroom areas
These procedures protect both children and volunteers while maintaining dignity and safety.
Incident & Emergency Response
In the event of an accident or emergency, our leadership team is notified immediately and appropriate steps are taken.
✔ First aid supplies are available in every classroom
✔ Leadership is present and accessible during every service
✔ Clear reporting procedures are followed when necessary
